You might wonder why you need DB Backup if we already take backups. Our nightly backups are for disaster recovery purposes only. For example, if all the hard drives on a server were damaged, we would be able to recover the server to a certain point in time. However, we cannot do that on a database by database basis, only a whole server at a time.

Our pricing will be determined by the type of database, the amount of space required by the backup and the point in time you want to recover to. For MySQL databases we offer recovery to last night's backup. For SQL Server we can offer recovery to within half an hour of failure. And for Oracle 9i, we can offer recovery to the exact point of failure. For MySQL and SQL Server recovery to last night's backup for a 100MB database, the cost is €8.33 per month. For other backup configurations, you will need to talk to one of our sales consultants.
